KELSEYVILLE — A Lakeport teenager drove a Chevrolet pickup into a utility pole Thursday night causing a nearly hour-long power outage.
Walker Maxwell, 18, was driving northbound on Big Valley Road in Kelseyville just before 8:30 p.m. when he allowed the truck to drift off the roadway for unknown reasons, California Highway Patrol public information officer Kory Reynolds said.
The speed of the truck could have played a role in the crash, Reynolds added. Drugs and alcohol were not factors. The teen was uninjured.
