CLEARLAKE — City police arrested a Clearlake man late Saturday night on charges of alleged child sex abuse.
The day before, a girl contacted the Clearlake Police Department (CPD) school resource officer to report she was sexually assaulted, according to Det. Sgt. Nick Bennett.
Detectives investigated the incident and determined a man assaulted the girl on Wednesday night, Bennett stated.
Daniel Eugene Duncan, 18, was arrested at his Clearlake home and booked into the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility Sunday morning on charges of rape of a person incapable of giving consent, sexual intercourse with a minor and sexual battery.
The CPD asks anyone with additional information about the case to contact Detective Peterson at 994-8251.
