MIDDLETOWN — It was a win all the way around for Middletown High School varsity volleyball coach Jennifer Breiner on Thursday as the Mustangs took care of business with a 25-20, 25-23, 25-21 non-league victory over St. Vincent at Middletown High School.

Breiner, an ardent Green Bay Packers fan, then went home to watch the Packers” 23-10 win over the Chicago Bears, a game she recorded.

“We passed it and hit it a lot, which is great,” Breiner said. “But we had too many service errors.”

Breiner made sure all her players got in on the action.

“It”s great when you can get everyone in there,” she said.

Brianna Ortiz had her jump serve working to the tune of nine aces. The junior also had three kills. Other contributors were Aly Mino with six kills, Sophie Marshall with five kills, and Nika Gibbs with three aces and two kills.

Middletown”s junior varsity squad also won, 25-12, 29-27.
