UPPER LAKE – Upper Lake took a 2-1 lead into halftime but Rincon Valley Christian rallied for a 3-2 victory in varsity girls” soccer action Friday afternoon at Upper Lake.
Goals by Shayla Wyman and Megan Wold put the Cougars (0-4-1) in front. Rincon Valley Christian tied the game midway through the second half and took the lead for good just a few minutes later.
“Their goals were almost back-to-back,” Upper Lake coach Mandy Robbins said.
Robbins, who took over the team in late August, said the Cougars played the game with the minimum 11 players.
