November is two months away and with it, the election for President of the United States. What is at stake for our nation? We have suffered through two inept administrations, those of Bush and Obama. Can we endure four more years of a failed administration. Our national employment is dismal, mired in excess of 8 percent, our national debt will approach $17 trillion.
One can read the back pages of our own Record-Bee to witness homes lost in Lake County to repossession, the economy is stagnant. Are we better off than we were four years ago? My answer is a most definite no. Never has the approval of our national leadership been as dismal and lacking of our trust as it is in the present. Even our California is mired with a legislature and governor unable to contend with the wishes of the people. California is borrowing trillions of dollars on mandates we do not want and the trend continues in Washington D.C. It is time to elect people who will not borrow 50 cents of each and every dollar spent in Washington. We need a business man who knows how important it is to balance a budget.
California re-elects political entities who have brought the state to such a state of disarray but on the national level, we can vote out those who willingly spend what they do not possess in Washington. I would like to see a legislative body and national leadership filled with men and women who will not further burden my grandchildren”s children with debt that may never be paid down. I want men and women who coldly disdain from any more abhorrent debt and this November I am going to vote for Romney and Ryan to give our nation the leadership it requires to not only expand our national economy but begin to address the staggering debt left by the administrations of Bush and Obama.
Obama is an honorable and dedicated family person but he is not the leader. Romney is equally honorable and dedicated to his family but he is the leader this nation needs to survive today. I am not voting because one or the other is a Democrat or a Republican, I am voting Romney because it is the right thing to do for my country and for stability for my family. I want a businessman with a cold and calculating mind who will address national debt and curve the endless and abusive spending habits in Washington D.C. and his choice for running mate, Ryan. Perhaps, if he is elected and reforms government, then we will stop re-electing men and women who have given us poor schools, a lack of adequate law enforcement personnel and a capable firefighting apparatus. I want to see an end to apologies for who we are and what we stand for in the brotherhood of nations of this world and I want strong and decisive leadership, I want to see terminated the endless spending that is crippling our nation. I want a strong military, our borders protected and the laws set forth in the Constitution and Bill of Rights obeyed fully. I want to see an end to the status quo of the past 15 long and painful years. I believe Romney and Ryan are the two men capable of bringing honor and fiscal responsibility.
