As a voter in the third Congressional district, it is important for me to consider the record of the person I am voting for.
On the one hand, there is out-of-touch politician John Garamendi, who in my opinion, has failed to represent the interests of the new district. He voted for Obamacare, a bill that the employers and people of this district were against.
I don”t think he even read the bill. He failed to produce any substantive budgetary reform. He failed to push for a new farm bill before he went on vacation, which just left agriculture in limbo and in a drought.
In my opinion, John Garamendi has just not done the job he was hired to do in Washington. He has failed.
On the other hand, Kim Vann is a leader. She has been a supervisor in Colusa County for more than six years. She paved the way for a new power plant in her county that controls the grid for most of the North State.
Kim Vann is a farmer of the soil, down to earth person who can get the job done when we send her to Washington.
I will vote for Kim Vann for Congress Nov. 6.
