MIDDLETOWN — Lake County International Charter School (LCICS) kicks off its eighth year of operations with a Dance-a-Thon fundraiser on Oct. 20th from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Middletown Lions Club, located at 15399 Central Park Road in Middletown.

Proceeds from the event will go toward health, fitness and nutrition programs at LCICS.

This dance-fitness marathon will include five hours of alternating Jazzercise and Zumba, as well as a sampling of Bellywood Bootcamp and Hot Cool Down. A line-up of instructors from throughout Lake County are volunteering their time to promote awareness of the fun of dance fitness and the importance of exercise and healthy eating.

Complimentary finger foods and a first glass of wine as well as shot-sized samples of fresh juices, smoothies and Kombucha are included in the price of each $15 ticket.

Additional servings of wine and healthy beverages will be available for purchase.

The Dance-a-Thon is an adult-focused event, but to encourage fitness and nutrition awareness amongst youth, high school students and others age 16 and older are also welcome. Wine will only be served to people 21 and older with a valid photo ID.

The Dance-a-Thon will feature silent auctions, raffles and opportunities to win a grand prize as well as additional prizes for participation in all dance sessions.

Tickets can be purchased at LCICS or on the LCICS.org website via PayPal by clicking on the Dance-a-Thon link. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the Lake County Jazzercise studio in Middletown and at most Zumba classes throughout the county.
