LAKE COUNTY — Lake County Summer of Peace 2012 closing ceremonies will be on Friday at 4 p.m. in Lakeport”s Library Park and 7 p.m. in Clearlake”s Austin Park.

Both ceremonies feature sacred music by My Divas, an a capella women”s chorale led by Claudia Listman.

Denyce (Hicks) Santos, a new operatic soprano recently moved to Lake County from Napa after relocating from New York City, will sing the Ave Maria.

Elder Thomas Brown will open the ceremonies at both ends of the lake with Pomo Drumming and Prayer. Lake County Board of Supervisor Anthony Farrington will be the keynote speaker in Lakeport and Voris Brumfield, minister at the Middletown Community United Methodist Church, will lead the Clearlake ceremony.

Aqeela Bakheit will speak on universal truth and forgiveness. Her presentation will be followed by remarks from Taira St. John, founder and director of Lake County Summer of Peace.

The service will end with a candlelight walk around the park.
