LAKE COUNTY — Lake County Vet Connect will offer free transportation to homeless veterans to attend the North Bay Stand Down, taking place Oct. 16 through 18 at the Dixon Fairgrounds.
According to Mark Wall, general manager of the Lake Transit Authority (LTA), the LTA voted unanimously on Sept. 12 to approve a reduced charter rate for Lake County Vet Connect.
