LAKE COUNTY — A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck Tuesday morning near Ukiah.
The quake struck at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at a depth of 9.9 kilometers below the Earth”s surface along the Mayacama fault about two miles east of Ukiah, according to the U.S. Geological Society (USGS).
Shaking was felt as far away as Kelseyville and Fort Bragg, according to comments left on the Record-Bee”s Facebook page Tuesday.
A shake map on the USGS website indicated light-to-moderate shaking was felt throughout the Ukiah Valley, with weak-to-light shaking present through much of the northern and western portions of Lake County.
No injuries or property damage was reported initially.
