On Monday Governor Romney again tried to reinvent his stance on foreign policy, advocating for a failed neocon approach and sounding a lot like he wants to wage war on Iran. This is nothing more than a rehashing of the same policies that caused our country to take our eye off al-Qaeda and invade Iraq with no exit strategy instead of focusing on a global counter-terrorism strategy.
America needs a commander-in-chief with a proven record we can trust.
Under President Obama”s leadership we have killed and captured terrorist leaders across the globe, including public enemy No. 1 Osama bin Laden. He has brought our troops home from Iraq, set a timeline for our withdrawal from Afghanistan and is employing our intelligence community to deliver crippling blows to al-Qaeda and terrorist organizations like it.
Governor Romney will take us right back to the same reckless with-us-or-against-us policies that weakened our national security and drove our country into debt. America can”t afford a backwards looking, etch-a-sketch commander-in-chief in the Oval Office.
