Why aren”t more people yelling and screaming about the extra $115 the State of California is forcing us po” folks to pay for a so-called fire prevention fee? I already pay the fire department in Nice $52.50 and the Kelseyville Fire Department $25. My friend who lives in the incorporated city of Lakeport, pays $39 and does not have to pay anything toward this new gimmick that the state came up with.
But wait folks, there”s more. The state, in its ultimate wisdom, missed a few po” folks. For instance I believe they missed the whole unincorporated town of Clearlake Oaks and a few other po” folks scattered throughout the State Responsibility Area (SRA). This is irresponsible and I believe, reprehensible. Come on all you po” folks in the SRA, let them know you don”t like to be treated like that ? I did. We are being asked to subsidize the folks who live in Clearlake and Lakeport. That”s not fair. If I”m wrong, ?scuse me.
