UPPER LAKE — Despite goals by John Moreno and Juan Rojas, the Upper Lake Cougars fell 6-2 to the Point Arena Pirates in non-league varsity boys” soccer action Friday in Upper Lake.
Marco Villalvazo scored all three of Point Arena”s goals in the first half. Moreno”s goal late in the half made it 3-1.
Rojas scored early in the second half with an assist from David Becerra-Lopez to cut Point Arena”s lead to 3-2, but the Cougars couldn”t stop Villalvazo, who added two more goals. Jose Arriagao also scored for the Pirates.
