CLEARLAKE — Robert Hernandez of Clearlake drove a Pontiac westbound on Olympic Drive when it left the roadway and struck a tree near the DaVita Clearlake Dialysis Center just after 9 p.m. Thursday, police said.
Hernandez claimed the gas pedal got stuck, Clearlake Police Sgt. Martin Snyder said.
Hernandez was transported to St. Helena Hospital, Clear Lake for precautionary reasons.
