TWIN LAKES — The wildfire burning in southern Lake County remained at 300 acres and containment improved to 30 percent Friday morning.
Some 20 residences remain threatened. Mandatory evacuations are in place for Murphy Springs Road to Perini Road. Voluntary evacuations for Twin Lakes were lifted.
Approximately 30 households are without power but it should be restored by 8 p.m. Friday.
The blaze began along Highway 29 near Perini Road in the Twin Lakes area about 2:45 p.m. Thursday, according to CAL FIRE. Crews stopped the forward spread Thursday evening. They are working to build and improve fire lines.
Several outbuildings and vehicles were destroyed. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
