LAKEPORT — The city”s Public Works Department announced the fall street-sweeping schedule, which begins Nov. 5 and continues through January.
On Mondays, North Main Street and 15th Street will be swept to the north city limits.
First Street will be swept on Tuesdays to the south city limits. Additional areas to be swept Tuesdays include Esplanade, Lupoyoma Heights, Lakeport Boulevard, Parallel Drive and Westside Park Road.
Second Street will be swept Wednesdays to Clearlake Avenue.
Main Street and additional areas needing special attention will be swept on Fridays. City officials stated the street sweeper would run every other Friday.
Blowing leaves into the street for sweeping is acceptable, but city officials asked residents not to put leaves in piles for sweeping because the street sweeper cannot sweep up leaf piles. Residents are encouraged to use their green waste service.
Lakeport City Hall will be closed from Nov. 16 through Nov. 23 and from Dec. 21 through Jan. 1.
City officials stated normal street sweeping hours would resume as needed.
Minor schedule interruptions may occur because of city employee workloads and availability.
