MIDDLETOWN — A special one-game varsity volleyball playoff takes place today at 4 p.m. between the Middletown Mustangs and St. Helena Saints at the Middletown High School gym.
Middletown and St. Helena tied for the North Central League I championship this season and also split their home-and-away season series. Tonight”s match has no bearing on the league race — both teams are co-league champ-ions regardless of the outcome — however, the winner will get the league”s automatic berth into next week”s North Coast Section Division IV playoffs. The loser will apply for an at-large berth.
