LAKEPORT — A white man, approximately 35 years old, exited the scene after hitting a pothole and flipping his vehicle near the Elk”s Lodge on Lakeshore Boulevard in Lakeport Tuesday night.
The incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. Witnesses allegedly saw the man kick open the door of the green Jeep Cherokee and run off in the direction of the Elks Lodge, California Highway Patrol Officer Mark Crutcher, said.
Drugs and alcohol are suspected to be involved, and witnesses alleged the man appeared to be dazed, Crutcher said.
