NICE — One woman was extracted from her car after a two-vehicle collision near the Nice-Lucerne Cutoff on Highway 20 Tuesday afternoon.

Deborah Jonas, 59, of Nice was driving southbound in an ”87 Mazda 626. She made a right turn and collided with a ”97 Dodge Caravan driven by Maryanne Hansen, 44, of Upper Lake, California Highway Patrol Officer Nick Powell said.

Jonas had to be removed from her vehicle by responding firefighters and was flown to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital by REACH with moderate injuries. Hansen also sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital, Powell said.

The collision occurred shortly before 4 p.m., and CHP, Lake County Sheriff”s Office and Northshore Fire Department responded.

Powell said neither driver showed signs of intoxication.
