COLUSA — Maxwell pulled away with a 26-13 third quarter and went on to beat the Kelseyville High School varsity boys” basketball team 62-47 in the seventh-place game of the Colusa Tournament on Saturday in Colusa.
“We looked tired the whole game,” Kelseyville coach Scott Conrad said. “In the third quarter … we just didn”t perform well. It was just a bad day for us.”
Maxwell took a 26-18 lead into the half.
John-Mark Reagan”s 12 points paced the Knights (2-6) and Victor Perez added seven.
Kelseyville plays defending champion Middletown in the opening round of the 19th annual Record-Bee Hoop Classic on Thursday night at Lower Lake High School. Tip-off is 8 p.m.
