For more than four years I have been working commuting during the week to two of the most beautiful places in the world ? first Mendocino and now the City of Sonoma.
I travel back to Lake County each weekend because my husband built us a beautiful home and my children are very involved in the schools and this makes it too difficult to move now.
While I miss them during the week, it works for us. But I just have to share that ever since moving here in 2001, I have looked forward to arriving in Lake County.
I find each and every time that my breath is taken away as soon as I get a glimpse of the lake.
I immediately start smiling and truly feel excitement and joy about what is coming each weekend. I get to wake up on Saturdays to the most beautiful sunrises over the lake with a view of our majestic mountain.
I am blessed to be able to walk the hills at least once every weekend and enjoy overwhelming peace with the views, trees and our wildlife.
The moonrises over the lake are a magical treat and the star show beats no other that I”ve witnessed.
I knew it when I first visited here in January 2001 ? this is my true home and truly a most sacred place and retreat.
I just couldn”t go another day without sharing my gratitude.
