LOWER LAKE — The sixth annual Six Sigma Ranch “Pruning and Pastries” event will be held on March 2 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The event will kick-off with a team of professional pruners vying for prizes in a race for speed and accuracy. Professional judges will determine the winners.
People are invited to watch the pros compete, then join a hands-on demonstration of winter pruning techniques.
An amateur pruning competition will also be offered. Prizes will be awarded. The event costs $15 per person and includes a continental breakfast.
Attendees should meet under the oak trees just inside the ranch gate. Attendees should dress for the weather; sturdy shoes or boots are recommended.
