HIT: Daryl Eugene Ney will be sentenced next month after pleading no contest to mayhem and admitting to a special allegation of using a knife.
MISS: Authorities say Ney stabbed another man at a party in Clearlake Oaks Sept. 20 after accusing the victim of sleeping with his ex-girlfriend.
Driver charged for fatal crash
MISS: A Middletown man faces a misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charge for a fatal crash that allegedly began when he swerved into oncoming traffic after choking on tri-tip.
Suspected meth lab located
MISS: Four people were arrested last week after Clearlake Police reportedly stumbled on materials used to manufacture methamphetamine while serving a misdemeanor warrant at a home on 26th Avenue.
HIT: Emergency personnel and cleanup crews were able to safely address the situation and dispose of the potentially harmful items.
Pipe bomb destroyed
MISS: A county road department worker found a pipe bomb sitting in a field about 20 feet off Soda Bay Road near Sacramento Perch Drive.
HIT: Lake County Sheriff”s deputies arrived on scene and safely destroyed the device.

MISS: Clearlake Police reported a rise in illegal dumping, with many cases involving residents who are tricked into a hiring a hauling company that actually just tosses the trash in isolated areas around the city.
