SAN LEANDRO — Four Kelseyville High School golfers teed it up Monday during the Spring Golf Classic at Tony Lema Golf Course in San Leandro.

While the rebuilding Knights fell one golfer short of a complete team in the 16-team field, they still made their annual trip to the tournament. Alameda High School edged out Irvington for the team title 398-403 while Miramonte came in third with 411.

David Na and Danny Ro, both of Alameda, tied for the day”s low round, a 1-over-par 73. Raja Deal of Livermore was a shot back at 74.

While a sunny day with temperatures in the low 50s, the golfers had to contend with a two-club wind, according to Kelseyville coach John Berry.

Joe Tannous led the Knights with a round of 92, one shot better than Justin Johnson”s 93. Wyatt Sells and Sophie Sells each had 108. Johnson carded a birdie during his round.

Kelseyville returns to action Wednesday afternoon during a Coastal Mountain Conference South match at Hidden Valley Lake.
