LAKEPORT — The Lake County supervisors are set to consider issuing a declaration of a local emergency Tuesday because of the Lakeside Heights landslide.
Unstable soil conditions at the North Lakeport subdivision have damaged several homes and the public sewer system as well as threatened roads and the public water system.
The Lakeside Heights discussion is listed among a handful of non-timed items on Tuesday”s Board of Supervisors (BOS) agenda.
The regular BOS meeting will convene at 9 a.m. at the Lake County Courthouse in downtown Lakeport.
The supervisors will present a pair of proclamations at 9:10 a.m., one designating this as National County Government Month and one declaring next week National Public Safety Telecommunications Week.
At 9:15 a.m., the BOS will consider a policy on the use of county property for special events. Proposed agreements between the county and ExecuTime for an automated time-reporting payroll system will be discussed at 9:30 a.m.
Other non-timed items will include a request for out-of-state travel for two sheriff”s detectives to attend training in Virginia and proposed budget transfers from the contingencies accounts in the general fund and geothermal resource royalties fund to the Clear Lake water quality improvement accounts.
