UKIAH — Former Lower Lake High School basketball star Jonesha Beasley has been named as an honorable mention on the All-Bay Valley Conference team.
Beasley helped the Eagles win a school-record 19 games during the 2012-13 season. Mendocino won the BVC championship and earned a trip to the Northern California Community College Athletic Association tournament for the first time in school history.
Named to the Bay Valley Conference first team were Mendocino players Elisa Vargas, Cara Watts and Crystal Cervantes. Beasley and teammate Michelle Chown were honorable mentions.
Mendocino coach Jody Steliga was honored as the Bay Valley Conference coach of the year.
