LAKEPORT — Middletown and Clear Lake battled it out during a five-team Coastal Mountain Conference track meet on Wednesday, with the visiting Mustangs emerging victorious in both the varsity boys” and girls” divisions at Clear Lake High School in Lakeport.

Middletown defeated Clear Lake 154-106 in the varsity boys” division and 120-104 in the varsity girls” division. Clear Lake did win the junior varsity boys” division 124-94 over Upper Lake.

Varsity boys

Middletown”s Nick Santos had a big day for the Mustangs with firsts in the 400 meters (53.3 seconds), 800 (2 minutes, 20 seconds) and high jump (5 feet, 6 inches). Teammate Austin Benson won the 100 (11.6) and triple jump (42-0). Other Middletown winners were Brett Southern in the 300 hurdles (44.9), Brad Beckwith in the shotput (42-4 1/2) and the Middletown 4×400 relay team (3:55).

Clear Lake winners were Josh Larsen in the 110 hurdles (16.2), Vince Rave in the 200 (23.8), Zuhuri Manley in the long lump (20-11) and the Clear Lake 4×100 relay team (47.4).

Upper Lake”s Cory Rodriguez notched wins in the 1,600 (5:16) and 3,200 (11:52).

Varsity girls

Clear Lake”s Meghan Beare and Nadine Bradley won three events apiece to highlight girls” action. Beare”s firsts came in the 400 (1:05.2), 1,600 (6:00) and 3,200 (14:23). Bradley captured the 100 (13.4), 200 (28.9) and high jump (4-10).

Kelly Wilkinson led Middletown with firsts in the long jump (13-9 1/2) and triple jump (28-11) and the Mustangs also swept the 4×100 and 4×400 relays.

JV boys

Clear Lake”s Kenyon Donald and Upper Lake”s Zack Sneathen won three events apiece in JV boys” action.

Donald topped the field in the 110 hurdles (19.7), long jump (17-5 1/2) and triple jump (37-0). Sneathen”s firsts came in the 800 (2:36.9), 1,600 (5:32) and 3,200 (12:10).

Willits and Point Arena also participated in the meet.
