LOWER LAKE — Winning pitcher Shelbie Harris homered and drove in four runs as the Lower Lake Trojans blasted the Kelseyville Knights 17-0 in the North Central League I softball finale for both teams on Friday in Lower Lake.
Harris, who worked four of the five innings, slugged a two-run shot to deep right field in the bottom of the first to give the Trojans (9-5 league, 18-6 overall) a 2-0 lead.
Lower Lake broke the game open with a 15-run bottom of the second, sending 20 batters to the plate.
Harris, who struck out seven and walked two, finished 2-for-2. Kayla Meadows went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Raelynn Scott went 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI.
Losing pitcher Jennifer Green (2-for-2) had Kelseyville”s only hits.
The Knights finish the season 2-12 in league and 7-14 overall.
Lower Lake”s next stop is the sectional playoffs beginning the week of May 20.
