KELSEYVILLE — The spring fundraising dinner for the Lake County Land Trust will take place today at the Saw Shop Gallery Bistro beginning at 6 p.m.

The land trust is a nonprofit group that preserves open space and natural habitats in?Lake?County.

The event at the bistro, located at 3825 Main St. in Kelseyville, is presented every year by owner Marie Beery, who donates the facility and meal.

The event sponsor is Dennis Darling, owner of Foods Etc.- IGA in Clearlake, and several Lake County wineries have donated wine.

The Lake County Land Trust owns and operates the Rodman Preserve on the north end of Clear?Lake,?where weekly Saturday walks are offered and a children”s nature education program is presented during the summer months. The trust is also working with the Nature Conservancy to steward the Boggs Lake Preserve, owns?Rabbit Hill? Park?in Middletown and is pursuing to protect some of the last remaining wetland habitat on Clear?Lake.

The proceeds from the upcoming dinner benefit all of the projects the land trust is involved with, and the public is invited to the event.

To make reservations, call the Saw Shop at 278-0129. Payment is taken at the door. Tickets cost $70 per person.
