LOWER LAKE — Fast-acting volunteers from the Lake County Fire Protection District were able to contain a structure fire before fire engines arrived at the West Coast O.G. Riderz club house Monday afternoon.
One teenage male was reportedly taken to the hospital and treated for “minor” smoke inhalation.
Two engines, including one from CAL FIRE, responded to the fire at 8030 Lake Ave., along with a medical unit and the battalion and fire chiefs from the LCFPD.
A total of 16 fire and emergency personnel reportedly arrived on the scene, but the initial rapid response from the volunteers was credited with saving the structure, according to reports.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation by fire investigators.?
