LAKE COUNTY — Authorities are still looking for a young man they allege escaped from the Lake County Juvenile Home the day after he turned 18 earlier this month.
A $25,000 arrest warrant has now been issued for Isaiah Dominguez, who has eluded law enforcement since May 14, according to Brian Martin, assistant chief for the Lake County Probation Department.
Probation officials allege Dominguez escaped that afternoon during a schooling session at the detention facility in unincorporated Lakeport, scaling a fence and running from custody.
Authorities reportedly scoured the area to no avail after the incident. Dominguez was being housed at juvenile hall because of a property crime, according to probation officials.
The at-large 18-year-old is described as 5-foot-6, weighing 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. People with information about his whereabouts are asked to call their local police department or the Lake County Sheriff”s Office.
