KELSEYVILLE –he Kelseyville Youth Football Camp, open to first- through eighth-graders, starts Monday and runs through Thursday at the Kelseyville High School football field. Hours are 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. each day and there is no charge to attend.

Funded by Lake County Mental Health, the camp is designed to get youngsters outside and exercising while also learning about the sport of football, according to camp coordinator Erick Larsen.

“We just want them up and doing something positive,” Larsen said.

Campers will run through several stations, each teaching a different football skill. A new kicking station is on tap for this year”s camp.

Healthy snacks and water will be provided and campers also receive T-shirts.

Campers should wear shorts and cleats or tennis shoes.
