LAKE COUNTY ? Winners of this year”s CA Retired Teachers in LC have been announced.
Liberty Justice of Mendocino College, won the first-place award of $100 for her essay, “Write Here, Write Now.”
Zachery Halverson, also of Mendocino College, won the second-place award of $75 for his essay, “The Most Important Thing in Education.”
Johnnie Radford of Yuba College, won the third-place award of $50 for his essay, “The Ultimate Experience.”
Annie Wellmerling, also of Yuba College, won the Honorable Mention award of $25 for her essay, “Classroom Benefits.”
The contest was limited to students in two schools in Lake County: Yuba and Mendocino community colleges.
