LAKEPORT — The Lake County Board of Supervisors (BOS) is set to receive the latest status report on the Lakeside Heights landslide Tuesday morning.
Unstable soil conditions, which first became apparent March 21, have damaged roads, public utilities and more than a dozen homes and properties at the hilltop subdivision in North Lakeport.
The cause remains unknown, according to county and state officials.
The county supervisors have received updates on the landslide on almost a weekly basis during the past two-plus months. Tuesday”s discussion on conditions at Lakeside Heights and recommendations for the continued response is scheduled to start at 9:15 a.m.
The regular BOS meeting will convene at 9 a.m. at the Lake County Courthouse in downtown Lakeport.
The supervisors will present a proclamation commending longtime Behavioral Health employee Donna Gitchell for her years of service to the county at 9:10 a.m.
The BOS will receive a report on the local impacts of the implementation of Mental Health Services Act provisions at 9:30 a.m.
As part of their non-timed items, the supervisors will consider appointing a treasurer-tax collector, purchasing an Upper Lake property as part of the Middle Creek Marsh restoration project, issuing a letter of opposition regarding Gov. Jerry Brown”s May budget revision to redirect county health care funds and approving a notice of completion for the Middletown Library Community and Senior Center.
