HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE — Soroptimist International of Clear Lake will install the new officers for the 2013-14 term during a special luncheon meeting at Chic le Chef at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Soroptimist is a cause-related, philanthropic federation of clubs that aim to improve the lives of women and girls locally, nationally and internationally.
Officers to be installed include Wanda Harris, who will be serving her second term as president; Judy Conard, vice president; Marsha Willard, secretary; Joy Swetnam, treasurer; Olga Martin Steele, director and Pollyann Johnston as public relations director.
They will assume their duties on July 1.
The luncheon will be held at the catering service”s dining area, in the Hardester”s Plaza, located at Hartmann Road in Hidden Valley Lake. The cost of the lunch is $16 and is open to all area women.
Soroptimist International of Clear Lake meets twice on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at Howard”s Grotto in Clearlake. Lunch costs $12.
