UKIAH — A Nice man sustained major injuries in a motorcycle crash on Monday.
At about 8 a.m., Justin Remington, 23, was riding his 2008 Suzuki motorcycle on Highway 20 to the southbound Highway 101 ramp, according to a collision report by California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer Marion Pohl. While attempting to merge, Remington, of Nice, allegedly struck the left rear of a 2012 Nissan pickup driven by Alexander Thomas, of Redwood Valley.
The motorcycle then went over Remington and he struck the front right of a 2003 Ford pickup truck driven by Donald Trotter, of Anderson, and was run over and dragged by the trailer it was pulling, Pohl stated.
All vehicles stopped at the scene with Remington stuck under the trailer. Neither Thomas, 74, Trotter, 74, nor their passengers sustained injuries.
