LAKE COUNTY — Sea Scout Ship 711 took the final step to complete repairs of the boardwalk at Anderson Marsh State Historic Park.
The boardwalk was recently repaired as part of the partnership agreement between Anderson Marsh Interpretive Association (AMIA) and the California Department of Parks. Crew members of Sea Scout Ship 711 finished AMIA”s project by staining the boardwalk on the Cache Creek Nature Trail.
The boardwalk provides access into some of the wetlands within the park and ends at a deck right on Cache Creek. It is particularly useful for those who have mobility issues.
“The scouts didn”t waste any time and worked very well as a team,” said Gae Henry, AMIA volunteer coordinator.
“They also found time to pick up the trash that was uncovered by recent trail clearing,” added Henry Bornstein, the AMIA board member who coordinated the boardwalk project.
