LAKEPORT — The sixth annual Cardboard and Duct Tape Regatta race drew a record 23 entries at Library Park in Lakeport on the Fourth of July.
The event, hosted by the Lakeport Yacht Club, featured crafts made of only cardboard and duct tape.
The winner of the 5-to-12 year-old division was Zachary Kimbell-Auth with his boat Poseidon”s Pride. Second place went to Greyson Wind in the S.S. Buster Bash and third was Max Halpern in Max Attack.
In the 13-to-17 age level Wonder Woman captained by Justin Johnson-Wyatt crossed the finish line first followed by Craig Huffman and Shane Taffi in Keegan”s Klipper. Megan Carter in Carter Craft came in third.
Joe Norton and his boat Big Johnson placed first in the 18-and-older race. Nicki Bondy and the S.S. Piece of Ship finished second. Devin Campbell and crew of five paddled in with third place in the Kon Leaky.
