LAKEPORT — Recent polls show that 70 to 80 percent of the American public don”t want the Health Care Bill as now written, so the Obama Administration gave California $910 million to set up its insurance exchanges for ObamaCare. So, our wonderful California lawmakers passed AB35 to spend the first installment of $37 million to 48 organizations and only a handful are healthcare related. They gave $600,00 to the NAACP, $2 million to the Service Employees International Union, $1 million to the LA County AFL-CIO, among others, to conduct “outreach” and presentations. AB35 requires voter registration to be part of the health insurance exchange and then tried to keep it a secret of who received the money and how much they were paid. U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander has called for an investigation of California concealing information on contracts awarded using federal taxpayer money. I hope he gets results but I am not holding my breath.
Then I find out the administration wants school kids, the NFL and Basketball to promote the agenda.
To top it off, they suspended the employee mandate which by some legal experts say this is not only against the Constitution but also the Equal Protection Clause under the law. Then California is outsourcing sign-ups to ObamaCare to these same organizations at $58 a pop. This is why I call it a mess that needs to go the way of the dinosaurs. Senators and the administration are already calling for more money to fund the implementation of ObamaCare. It is becoming a bottomless pit. Remember when they said this would only cost $900 billion, now it is up to $1.8 trillion and climbing. None of this $910 million California got actually goes to healthcare.
If I have this right the Democrats own heathcare. They give almost $1 billion (where they get this figure I don”t know) to a Democratic-run state, which gives it to Democrat supporters, which in turn give it back in campaign contributions to Democrats running for political office and we pay for this out of our tax dollars. This mess is so out of control because of bureaucrats it should just implode! But it won”t. Because it”s your tax dollars, and its not coming out of their pockets.
