UKIAH – Shannon R. Walton, 30, of Lakeport was arrested after a minor injury collision Wednesday on Highway 101 in Ukiah.
Walton was driving her 1996 Chevy Suburban northbound where a previous collision was blocking the southbound lane. California Highway Patrol(CHP) was on scene directing traffic where Jamie R. Bailey, 37, of Willits and Steven G. Burns, 52, of Redwood Valley slowed to a stop, according to CHP Officer Holzhauer. Walton allegedly did not see the stopped traffic and rear-ended Bailey”s 2008 Honda CRV pushing her into Burns” 2001 Buick Century. The passenger of the Buick, Renae Blake, 46, of Redwood Valley, was taken to Ukiah Valley Medical Center with minor injuries. Walton was arrested on charges of driving under the influence. The incident is under investigation by CHP.
