LOWER LAKE — Firefighters responded to fire before 2 p.m. Wednesday that was reported to be consuming three out-structures in the vicinity of Highway 53 and Jessie Street near Anderson Marsh Park.
About two acres of wildland were calculated to have been consumed by the fire at about 2:15 p.m. and other structures were at risk, according to reports heard on the scanner.
A firefighter was transported to the hospital with mild to moderate injuries at approximately 3:15 p.m.
Powerlines were reported to be down and smoke was blowing across the highway.
Lake County Fire Protection and CAL FIRE, among other agencies, responded to the scene.
It was advised that people avoid the area.
