LAKEPORT — A judge Monday continued the sentencing hearing of a man who pleaded no contest for causing the death of his brother and another person that stemmed from a DUI crash.
Judge Robert L. Crone Jr. delayed Dylan Eugene Waters” sentence to Aug. 19 after defense attorney Douglas E. Rhoades asked for more time to address factual issues in Waters” probation report, Rhoades said.
Waters pleaded no contest May 21 to felony driving under the influence, which caused the single-vehicle crash outside of Lower Lake that killed his older brother and another passenger in July of last year.
A nine-year sentence was tentatively agreed to by both the defense and prosecution when the plea was entered.
Waters remains in custody at the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility.
