LAKEPORT — Ren Eberhart won two go-kart main events Sunday as a doubleheader weekend of racing came to a close at Delbert”s Memorial Raceway.
Eberhart won both the 125/250 and the 500 division main events, battling Tes Mellor for the victory in the 500 feature. Cole Brown won the beg box feature.
In Saturday”s action at the Lakeport Speedway, Frankie Pickrell won the bandoleros event, battling new driver Kylie Keown in the early stages and then finishing ahead of Dylan Washburn; Shelby Helm took advantage of a restart to defeat Kyle Tellstrom in the Coors Light extreme asphalt outlaws event; and Jodi Snider won the Volvo Rents mini stock feature, with Bill Kistenmacher finishing second.
Derek Jones, in his final appearance before joining the Army, won the Jr. jammer main event and Wayne Young finished first in the pro jammer race.
The racing action returns to the Ukiah Speedway this weekend with the bombers, modifieds,mini stocks, legends and pro 4 modifieds all scheduled to compete. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday with the races beginning at 5:30 p.m. For a complete event schedule, visit www.ukiahspeedway.com.
