LUCERNE — An Upper Lake man who was stabbed by another man July 25 made it out of surgery and was recovering favorably.

A suspect allegedly stabbed David Dancer during a fight near Foster Freeze in Lucerne, according to scanner reports.

David Dancer was transported by REACH to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he underwent surgery that day for a collapsed lung and a punctured diaphragm caused by the stabbing, Dancer stated Friday via Facebook.

“It”s gonna take more than that to take me out,” Dancer stated.

A man was taken into custody in connection to the stabbing, according to scanner reports.

This report is unconfirmed, however, the Lake County Sheriff”s Office (LCSO) was contacted three times on Wednesday.

As of press time, neither Sheriff Frank Rivero nor representatives of the LCSO had responded to requests for information.
