KELSEYVILLE — Downtown Tennis Academy, a United States Tennis Association organizational member, is hosting summer tennis camps through August at the Riviera Hills Country Club in Kelseyville.
Director Don Purdy is a Professional Tennis Registry Certified Instructor 4A for Adult and Junior Player Development. The academy is also a part of National Junior Tennis and Learning Network, which is a nation-wide group of community tennis organizations, according to Purdy.
The camps include drills and skills that incorporate footwork, movement and technique.
The goals are to develop good sportsmanship, physical and mental fitness along with health, wellness and nutrition, Purdy stated.
Sign-ups are open for weekly camps to be held on Aug. 5 to 9 and Aug. 19 to 23.
