LAKEPORT — The guest speaker for the August luncheon of the Sons in Retirement (SIR) will be Dr. John Minotti, a Lakeport cardiologist, according to a SIR press release.
SIR is a social organization for men of retirement age.
Supervisor Anthony Farrington was the guest speaker at the June luncheon.
His presentation covered issues directly affecting the county, including the recovering economy, senior citizens rent control, public safety, water and his views on Clear Lake, which he considers the county”s greatest asset, the release stated.
Sheriff Frank Rivero was the guest speaker at the July meeting, the release stated.
Branch 168 holds a luncheon on the second Friday of each month at the conference room at Konocti Vista Casino, located at 2755 Mission Rancheria Road in Lakeport.
