LUCERNE — A blaze killed two dogs and destroyed a mobile home Sunday afternoon in the area of Second Avenue and Country Club Drive.
Firefighters responded to the scene at 2:49 p.m. to fight the flames that also destroyed two outbuildings in adjacent property and caused damage to a neighboring home, Northshore Fire Protection District Chief Jay Beristianos said on Monday.
The fire was controlled within an hour and no injuries were reported.
About 15 firefighters and six engines from the Northshore, Lakeport and Lake County fire protection districts, along with Lake County Sheriff”s Office personnel, were involved in fire containment, Beristianos said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
