LAKE COUNTY — Bert Ortega has been named the Willie Mac coach of the year and Hadleigh Graham is the Willie Mac player of the year for the Lake County Junior Giants.
Ortega has been involved in Junior Giants coaching for many years and goes out of his way to make sure his players are learning and having fun at the same time. Hadleigh has consistently demonstrated her dedication to the Junior Giants program and has lived up to the standards of the four bases of character associated with the Junior Giants program – integrity, leadership, confidence and teamwork.
Ortega and Graham will be honored at a future Giants game in San Francisco.
Junior Giants is implemented under the Lake County Sheriff”s Activity League (LCSAL), a non-profit organization that utilizes volunteers from the community with cooperation from the Sheriff”s Department.
