The Lake Family Resource Center (Lake FRC) would like to offer an enthusiastic thank you to the Delta Iota Tau Sorority for hosting monthly birthday parties at the domestic violence shelter.
Each month, vice president of the sorority, Dana Kearny, and shelter manager Sheri Young establish how many adults and children will be celebrating their birthday, and wish lists of gifts are gathered from the residents, which are then given to the sorority. Delta Iota Tau gathers at the shelter the third Tuesday of each month and provides a birthday party for all of the residents. The sorority arrives with beautiful birthday cupcakes, ice cream and lovely gifts that are specialized for each individual. Live trumpet music is performed by Jacob Campos while celebration and laughter fill the air.
On behalf of the residents and the Domestic Violence Program, a heartfelt thank you to Dana Kearny and Delta Iota Tau for creating these birthday parties and allowing the residents to celebrate their special day.
