I would like to thank everyone who has donated merchandise and monetary gifts to the Meals-on-Wheels Thrift Store in Lakeport. Your generous contributions have enabled us to help fund more than 150,000 meals since the store opened. Some of those contributors are “Doc” Starin, Skip Rix, Lynn Peffely, Precious Moments Pre-School, Dick Seiler and the late Milt Hann. There are so many more of you, too numerous to mention and I apologize if I have not named any major contributors.

Our customers deserve a big thank you as well. Several of you have been with us from our small beginnings in the senior center, through our move to our Lakeport location and finally to our home at First and Main streets. I appreciate your business so much.

Not to be forgotten is the Lakeport Senior Center Board of Directors and Executive Director Jonathon Crooks, who have supported me since I started as a volunteer, and the many volunteers and staff for their tireless efforts to keep the store stocked and well maintained. You make my life as manager so much easier.

Last but not least, thank you to Maxine Lotsey, who had the vision to know that a thrift store would help support the Meals-on-Wheels program, so that no senior will go hungry.
